Jan 15, 2024 · There have been incidents of the block heater cords shorting and causing a fire with disastrous results taking out the whole shed full of equipment. So check those cords. Have burnt several cords the last 50 years, but never more than the cord. Been lucky i guess, see the burnt cord right up to a grease covered block.
